I have been sober for over 10 months. i had about 8 drinks last night, will that show up on a typical hair test given to obtain a job?

Depends: It depends on how soon you will have your hair analyzed. You probably have only a few days after drinking in which the hair follicle test will not show the alcohol. After a few days (approx 5 days), the alcohol will likely be able to be detected in the hair follicles.
