Hair testing: Looks back in a 90 day window. The hairs are "prepared" prior to analysis. I believe 1.5 inches are used of head hair, to correspond to a roughly 90 day window of growth. Body hair is handled differently. The collector will obtain either head hair or body hair, but cannot mix the two in the sample due to their different preparation. Therefore, there is no chance Valium from 2014 shows.
