See your Doc: There are many possible causes for shortness of breath from worse anemia to lung blood clots to heart disease. You should be under the care of a doctor familiar with sickle cell disease- usually a hematologist. You need to see her or him and explain your symptoms.

Heart, Lungs, Anemia: Your anemia might have gotten worse. You might be experiencing acute chest syndrome, a sickle cell crisis in the lungs, or have a blood clot (pulmonary embolism) in the lung. Do you have asthma? If the symptoms get worse, or even if they just don't get better soon, see your doctor to get your heart, lungs, and blood counts checked.
