Probably so...: Tetanus is a state of prolonged, severe muscle contraction caused by a neurotoxin produced by bacterium clostridium tetani--it is not that common. Since you were diagnosed with strep, it is likely that this condition is causing some sensation of stiffness to neck/saw. Many people do feel achy, chills, some headache with this infection. Motrin/tylenol may help. If worsen, call your doc. Good luck.

Probably: Strep will cause swelling of the lymph nodes in your neck and jawline.
