Something: Is not right: normal respiratory rate is about 11-16/minute. See your pcp.

Yes dangerous: If heart attack causes heart failure like pulmonary edema it can cause tachypnea resp rate of 30 to 40. Stroke can also cause some time central nervous system to accelerate. Resp rate or some time massive stroke causes brain edema and increased intracranial. Pressure and increased resp. Rate. Sometimes stroke causes upper airway. Obstruction by lots of secretions in throat and it causes tachp.
