May be helpful: Lyrica (or pregabalin) is not indicated for trigeminal neuralgia (in the official fda approved package insert), but it is used "off-label" for this diagnosis. Gabapentin is a close relative of Pregabalin chemically, so these two should not be used together--and would likely have similar effects.

YES/NO: Any medication for pain has been tried to stop tn. But if it doesn't work, you will go to the next level (anything) until reaching the surgery treatment after localizing where in the scull is the pressure on the nerve.

Either one: Both can be used for trigeminal neuralgia. They are related to each other and should not be taken together.

Will not reverse: Facial nerve damage, but may help with symptoms. Patients primarily treated with prednisone. Do not take both drugs at the same time!
