Various ways!: There is simple shyness and then there is a larger syndrome called social phobia or social anxiety disorder which includes more difficulties socially such as not even being willing to eat in front of other people and more. It may be very helpful to see a therapist to see where you are on this "spectrum". Medication can help. So can cognitive behavioral therapy. You can get so much better-get help!
