Get facts: While abuse as a child can contribute to stress disorders and other conditions most abused individuals can be psychologically healthy. Schizophrenia is an unlikely outcome, especially at your age. If you have symptoms consult a psychiatrist but otherwise don't assume that your experience will lead to mental illness.

Gosh no: Child abuse is a terrible problem and while some people recover well, others suffer significant mood, anxiety, ptsd or personality consquences. Schizophrenia is usually diagnosed by late 20s so the further past one is from that, the more unlikely the diagnosis. Mood disorders and ptsd can cause people to feel they are losing their minds sometimes. Psychiatry and psychology can really help.
