High BP: Yes. There are so many 49 years old people have high BP pressure. Do you have any specific question? If BP is mildly increased you have to try diet and exercise for 3-6 months. If no improvement then you need medical therapy. If it is moderate to severely increased then you need to start medical therapy along with diet and exercise.

What is considered high blood pressure for a 20-year-old?

Above 140/90: The blood pressure is considered high when it is persistently above 140/90; however if someone always has a blood pressure that is at 90/60 (without medication), for example and feels fine but start having symptoms (headache, light headed etc...) when the BP goes above the usual 90/60 , it can be considered high blood pressure for this particular person even when the BP does not go above 140/90.

Im an active 18 year old girl. My blood pressure is 145/91. Is this strange or high enough to have to get it looked at?

Yes, too high: Try to relax when you have your blood pressure taken and no worry about the number. Make sure it is taken correctly. Talking, listening to someone else talking, crossing your feet make the blood pressure read high. Your back should be supported in the chair, feet on the ground, the arm should be supported that the blood pressure is taken in at heart level. Try that first.

I am 24 year old and I have a high blood pressure can I use galic for it?

NO: Old wives tales say that garlic has anti hypertensive properties but it is not proven. If you have hbp, you do need low sodium diet, weight loss and exercise but if medications are required, garlic will not add any measurable improvement to any of the hbp medicines even at the smallest dose. You as patient and we as doctors can only practice evidence based medicines and there is none for garlic.

Not sky high: It's slightly high. Ask your provider about monitoring it more regularly.
