Many reasons: This is hard question to answer as there could be any number of reasons ranging from her childhood experience to how you treated her as a child. She could be coming to terms with her own helplessness with aging. There is a saying in india 'a mother takes care of all her children but its burdensome for all her children together to take care of that one mother'.
