Waste of money: It is already present in most foods. Supplements are not useful ; may increase risk of prostate cancer. Application to the skin is the same as any other oily substance.

Yes: There are few vitamins that can help the skin heal. They are not well studied but its worth trying to help if you have skin problems: vitamin d, b, e , fish oil (not great if you have oily skin but good for dry skin) and zinc.

Varies: I have seen 100iu to 400iu prescribed. I recommend using 100iu and seeing how much benefit a person gets.
