Asthma CXR: No. Lung x-ray may show some indications of asthma. Normal chest x-ray cannot rule out asthma. On the other hand, the abnormal findings that we see on chest x-ray are not specific enough for asthma. Asthma can only be reliably diagnosed by a physician by taking proper history in addition to tests such as pulmonary function test.
