A member asked:

Can anybody tell me why my lower stomach has numbing like feeling on it 7 weeks out of a hysterectomy?

Numb skin: Most likely small nerves near the surface of the skin were stretched or cut during your surgery. If they were simple stretched you will most likely regain sensation. If they were cut you will likely not regain sensation.

Nerves: After your hysterectomy the nerves on your abdomen were cut. This area is numb until the nerves grow back. They grow 1/2 to 1 cm per month. Over time the sensation should return.
