Abdominal Pain: What kind of tests have you had so far? Lower abdominal pain can be caused by cystitis(uti), viral gastroenteritis (stomach flu), pregnancy, acute appendicitis (typically on the lower right abdomen), pelvic inflammatory disease, inflammatory bowel disease.
