Needs assessment: Many causes for this. Ultrasounds and VCUG has to be done to determine cause of swelling/hydronephrosis. Excreatory scans may be needed too. Level of swelling matters too. Minimal enlargement can resolve with no help too. Consulting a pediatric urologist would be a good idea. As long the baby is urinating, ther should be no immediate life risk.
