Quite possibly: A panic attack involves many of the symptoms you described. Often, a person will feel fearful, feel as if something terrible is about to happen, feel as though they need to escape, and will has sob, heart palpitations, sweating, shakiness, etc. Usually there is a history of anxiety (fear), and/or trauma from abuse or other reasons, or a relevant medical issue (i.E, heart problems, copd, etc).
