Yes: Oral rehydration solutions like pedialyte are very effective in preventing dehydration only if the child can keep it down. If the child continues to vomit please seek medical attention.

Yes: Start with small amounts of pedialyte (which contains water, salt and sugar)- 1/2 oz. Every 20-30 minutes, you can gradually increase the amount, as long as she is keeping it down. If she can't tolerate that, call her doctor. A "mom" rule- avoid the red pedialyte or gatorade! if she vomits, it may look like blood and create more anxiety!
