To remove it: This is a benign tumor of your salivary gland. However, there is a risk that over time it could become malignant (cancer). It will also continue to grow. For these reasons, it needs to be removed, and that means removing the entire salivary gland with surgery. Even though these are benign tumors, they can recur years later in the same place if not completely removed.
