Is it possible for me to be having an ectopic pregnancy with -1.2 serum test results? dr has ruled everything out, test results, all is "normal."

Not likely: If what you described is serum HCG level of 1.2, that is not compatible with pregnancy. You apparently have had transvaginal ultrsound and that should have picked up a mass if you had ectopic pregnancy.
