Yes: There are different schedules for giving xeloda (capecitabine). The key is to give it in a way that's effective, but also decrease possible side effects. The "typical" schedule for Xeloda (capecitabine) is to take it twice daily for two week followed by a week off. However, the build-up of drug in the body causes more side effects than taking the drug twice daily for one week followed by a week off. And it works as well!
