Individualize dose: Xeloda (capecitabine) can be used as a single agent to treat stage IV metastatic colorectal cancer. The usual dose is 1250 mg/m2 twice daily orally for 14 days, followed by a 7-day rest period for a total cycle time of 21 days. Adjuvant treatment is recommended for a total of 6 months (8 cycles). Doses may be altered for individual situations with reduced doses for patients with kidney problems.
