Asthma? Flu?: Being 32, and if you don't smoke, common cause of shortness of breath with cough is asthma, especially if symptoms on going for long periods. Some infection such as flu can cause symptoms of sob mimicking asthma. Other disease such as cystic fibrosis can cause same symptoms. Since this is concerning you, i recommend getting evaluated and treated by doc. Good luck.
