Not sure: Not sure what your exact question is but a pa and lateral cxr will show many potential problems with the heart, lungs, and surrounding bones.

Visualize lungs: Chest xray includes heart, lungs, mediastinum, bones shoulders, and upper abdomen. The lungs are definitely visualized. For more detail imaging of lungs, sometimes high resolution CT imaging of chest may be performed.

Yes: A chest x-ray can show different structures in the chest including the trachea and lungs, heart, vessels, bones, and the diaphragm to name a few. They do not see everything and there are other tests to look for and at specific things depending on the clinical issue.
