Depends: It would depend on why your tongue is white, how long it has been that way, and if there is any pain/soreness of the tongue. Anything from an oral yeast infection to food to medications you may be taking can cause a white looking tongue.

Brush your tongue: It is common for the tongue to have a white coating. This is food and bacterial debris that can be cleaned with a tongue screr or brush. This debris can cause bad breath. There are other causes of a white coating also. This can be thrush, infection , allergies, if you are have sensitivity, pain or burning it is a good idea to, have this checked by a dentist.
