Not good: Sleep deprivation decreases daytime alertness, increasing risks of accidents at work and driving, etc. Memory and cognitive function will decrease, making it harder to focus, concentrate, and make decisions. Irritability, anxiety, stress, and chronic pain may result. Medical issues like heart disease, obesity, hypertension, stroke, diabetes, depression, and other mood disorders are more likely.
