TMJ: This sounds like an inflammation of the TMJ joint. It is very common. One goes to the dentist for this concern.

Most likely not: You probably have a dislocated disc in your TMJ that is blocking the movement of your jaw or a severe muscle spasm preventing from letting you open. You should see an oral ; maxillofacial surgeon to make an accurate diagnosis.

2 problems: Jaw locking probably due to jaw joint malfunction (TMJ). Start w your Dentist. May have to see Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon, or both. More serious problem is your high blood pressure. If not brought under control can cause stroke. See hour PCP IMMEDIATELY to begin Rx for your high blood pressure.
