If you are : Going to a therapist while drinking, especially if you think you may have a problem with alcohol, yes. You will not be as clear headed or able to take advantage of psychotherapy if you are under the influence of alcohol. If you can't face your problems without having a drink, I would suggest that you tell the therapist. They will help you figure out why.
