No: Both acne and dandruff are common. It's a basic mistake to try to figure out why you've got acne -- the only exception is women with serious hormonal disturbances causing severe acne. Manage it instead. If topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid haven't cleared you in a few weeks, get with your physician.
