Yes or : The teeth ; or jaw joint may cause significant ear pain. There is some crossover in the nerve that assesses pain from this area as a branch supply's the ear drum while another supplies the gum line ; jaw.

Yes: Ear infection can cause jaw pain. Jaw (TMJ) pain can cause ear pain. Both often misdiagnosed. If unclear about diagnosis, see TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
