A member asked:

Will the belly button get infected 5 weeks after larposcopic appendectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can: Usually, if an infection is going to occur, it does so in the first 2 weeks or so. A suture that has not dissolved or a permanent suture may have gotten infected. You need to see your surgeon.
