Yes: Scoliosis is a curve to the back. The nerves can be pinched in their holes or alternatively wear and tear can cause bone spurs to push on the nerves.

Possibly: If the scoliosis is causing the nerve to be pinched exiting the spine it can be the cause. Also people that have scoliosis for a long time will develop arthritis faster in those areas of spine and can cause sciatica symptoms as well.
