As a dentist: I can tell you that being pregnant in itself cannot cause toothaches. However, dental neglect that sometimes accompanies being pregnant (poor oral hygiene, changes in diet and refraining from seeing a dentist) can cause dental problems. There are hormonal changes when pregnant that often produce greater sensitivity of the gums to irritants and therefore inflammation. See your dentist for an exam.
