Infected Eczema Only: Mupirocin ointment is a antibacterial preparation that can be helpful for eczema that has become infected but is not the proper treatment for maintenance of eczema long term. Using daily moisturizers and topical corticosteroid ointments for flares is more appropriate. See an Allergist or Dermatologist for more details on properly treating eczema.
