Inhjerited baldness: Genetic hair loss, called male patterned baldness, is found in men, when there is a family history of similar hair loss. It often begins after puberty, the time that male hormones are made by the testes. Acne is also a male hormone disease.Older women, who lack female hormones, also get inherited alopecia. This can be treated, but not cured with minoxidil, as a lotion, or finasteride, as a tablet.
