Hyperpigmentation: Dark spots or hyperpigmented skin are unlikely to respond to topical steroid creams once the skin has been discolored. These chronic changes are usually permanent, but I would suggest seeing a Dermatologist to determine what possible treatments exist. There are laser treatments and other topical ointments that could be helpful. Schedule an appointment to find out more info.
