Help please! could crusty swollen eyelids be csused by a cold?

The eyes ; a cold: You can definitely have a secondary eye infection caused by the same virus that causes a cold. This would cause crusting and swelling of your eyelids. Typically, the eye infection will improve when the cold gets better. Keep your eyelids clean to help reduce the symptoms.
