A member asked:

Please tell me, could a laparoscopy detect cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Laparoscopy is useful in detecting certain types of cancer before proceeding with a major resection of a known cancer in order to make sure the cancer hasn't spread. It is uikely to be the only tool to initially diagnose cancer. It is quite complex however, and you should talk more about it with your doctor.
