Dentist Most Often: Some physicians--especially ENTs--can diagnose and treat some oral conditions. But, usually not gum problems. Probably 99% of dentists can diagnose and treat conditions of your gums. So, your chances are much better with a dentist. If you have something uncommon or complicated, you may be referred to a specialist: periodontist or oral surgeon. But, usually a dentist can handle it. Get some help.
