Don't use a sewing : Needle or anything sharp to remove it. You might damage the fragile soft tissues. Instead, invest in a mechanical toothbrush and a waterpik, use them as outlined. Also floss regularly during the day especially in the lower anterior area as that is your problem area. Maybe see your dentist every 3-4 months for a cleaning instead of every 6 months. Hope this helps.

.: I think you are describing tartar buildup. Proper brushing technique should prevent it. Try brushing twice a day with tartar prevention tooth paste.

See your dentist: Never place anything in your mouth (like your sewing needle) if your hand should slip you could cause very serious damage. Only use dentist recommended items to clean your teeth. If you develop tartar that rapidly, you need to see your dentist to review oral hygiene and make recommendations (possibly electric toothbrush, tartar control toothpaste).

See a Pro: Partial removal of tarter leaves an uneven surface where bacteria can attach. Need to see dentist (regularly) for professional cleaning and instructions on which of the many oral hygiene products and techniques are best for you to help you prevent tarter buildup.
