I hit my head about 11:30 am this morning and i have been ok all day. it's 7:44 here and am i ok to sleep later?

Yes, if you have no : Significant symptoms it is ok to go to sleep. Possible concussion sxs: + or – loss of consciousness, headache / pressure, can't recall event, dizziness, v coordination, ringing in ears, confusion, slurred speech, nausea / vomiting ; fatigue. For concussion seek medical care. Seek urgent treatment for loss of consciousness, on-going confusion, seizures, unequal pupils, recurrent vomiting, change.

You should be okay: I'm going to assume you do not have ongoing bad headache, nausea / vomiting and you don't feel anything's bad-wrong. Death from epidural hematoma usually follows a really nasty blow to the head, and within a few hours.
