A member asked:

Are syphilis chancres always filled with pus? what does the pus look like? what are other symptoms of syphilis? how long is it before a chancre shows?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not syphilis: If it discharges pus, it is not a syphilis chancre. If it simply looks like a pimple or little boil, put hot compresses on it and get seen only if it becomes very painful or you get a fever, or it persists for more than a week.
