Mildly low: A level of 23 is only mildly low. Symptoms of low vit d usually do not occur until levels are under 10. Nevertheless, the current recommendation is to have a level above 30. Unless you are out in the sun all day long, most people need to take a vit d supplement (1000-2000 iu daily) to achieve this.
