No, not instantly: Faverin and other ssri's require at least 4-6 weeks -- and often longer -- for therapeutic effect with ocd. It can help manage but not cure symptoms. They may return after you taper off and stop the drug. Faverin does not work instantly.

2 to 6 weeks: Most medications for ocd take 2 to 6 weeks to reach a therapeutic dose level after some adjustments. It is not an instantaneous effect, nor does the medication cure anything.
