How does a doctor get rid of a stye i have one on my upper eyelid close to the eyelash i feel like it getting bigger? why dosomedoctors not remove it

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Styes / Chalazion: Styes are from blocked or infected oil glands that open at the edges of the eyelids. Using warm compresses to the eyelids 5-10 minutes once or twice a day followed by cleaning of the lids can help styes to resolve. Using an ophthalmic antibiotic / anti-inflammatory ointment can also help. In some cases the doctor has to drain the sty under local anesthetic, but most resolve using heat.
