Stye: 2 types of lumps occur frequent ly in the eyelids . They are not the same but are commonly (and erroneously) used interchangeably: stye, is an infected hair follicle of the eyelash or other hair follicle of the lid. Chalazion is a blocked oil gland of the lid, meibomian gland. Trapped oily secretion becomes ranzid, causes inflammation. It may get infected. Hot moist compresses + topical antibiotic.

Chalazion: This suggests that you had a chalazion, and if it is still in the acute phase you can try warm/hot dry compresses and steroid antibiotic drops. If this does not resolve within 5 days then you may need to ave it incised and the contents removed. This is curative.
