various reasons: Could be lot of reasons ..One of them could be crack in tooth because of no crown and decay..Also could be redo of root canal needed depending on the way existing rct done..Or any canals missed...The best option is to see dentist as soon as possible...Before it gets worse...

See a dentist: The tooth could be cracked or the root canal could be reinfected because of bacteria entering the root canal from the mouth because the tooth was not crowned and kept sealed. See a dentist to determine what the problem is and if the tooth can be restored or if it has to be extracted.

Many things: Exposure to decay will reinfect the root canal. Also there is a good possibility of fracture. The pain is probably from an abscess. It is protocol that all posterior teeth that have root canals receive a crown afterward, to avoid these complications. See an endodontist asap to diagnose and recommend proper treatment!
