CT scan: A ct scan could show gallstones and a hernia but unlikely to see an ulcer. Hope this helps.

It can, but not : Always. Endoscopy is best test for duodenal ulcers and ultrasound for gallstones and hernias not evident on physical examination. Yes, your right sided pain could be musculoskeletal in origin. Ask your doctor for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.

Good day I have a history of stomach ulcers and umbilical hernias which have since been operated on. Lately i have a lot of abdominal pain and pain on the right side of the ribs and my lower back where the kidneys are. The pain starts after i eat.
Will a CT scan show gallstones/ other gall bladder problems as well as stomach ulcers? What about a urine and blood test?
