Quad exercises: Quadriceps strengthening exercises such as leg lifts or perhaps bike riding can be very helpful.

No free weights: Free weights while standing, treatmills, 'zumba', p90x training and anything that requires deep knee flexion will aggravate. Elliptical trainers with low ramp height, fixed weight machines in seated position and stationary cycling with seat set high will probably not cause a problem.
