Normal: Normal for a clot. If purulent drainage or foul smell and a fevr seek medical help.

Sounds normal: The blood clot will be darker over time. If there is no pain or bleeding, it sounds as if you are the road to recovery.

Normal looking clot: This is typical of a tooth extraction site. A clot is forming. As your body heals the area of the extraction, the clot will continue to change shape and color. Extraction sites heal from the base of the site to the surface. Soon the remnants of the clot will lighten and disappear, and you will see a depression. That will eventually fill in as well. Just continue to keep the area clean.
