Blepharospasm: Involuntary contraction of the levator palbebral muscles is relatively common and benign most of the time. If it persists longer than you are comfortable then it would be wise to consult your doctor or an ophthalmologist.

Blepharospasm: Or eyelid twitching is a common condition. It is usually temporary but sometimes can persist over time. The usual causes are fatigue and stress, but many times a cause cannot be identified. Medications traditionally have been variable in their effectiveness. Botox has been used for many years to control spasm in patients who have severe cases of this.
